Governor Ademola Adeleke today received a rousing welcome from traders and technicians at the popular Ajegunle Market and Igbonna Market in Osogbo.
Excited residents and members of the market associations trooped out, chanting “ibo, ibo, ibo!”
As the Governor stepped down from his bus to greet them, the crowd went into wild jubilation, shouting “Imole lẹ́kansi! Imole lẹ́kansi! Imole lẹ́kansi!”
Addressing the technicians and market men and women, Governor Adeleke urged them to mobilise for voter registration and be ready to exercise their civic rights.
“Go out and mobilise for voter cards. Get your voter card. We must all exercise our voting rights for good governance. Be prepared to strengthen support for Imole. Show them that we own the streets,” the Governor declared.
Chairman of the Ajegunle Technicians Association, Azeez Kamorudeen, alongside his members, assured the Governor of their unwavering support for his administration and in the 2026 governorship election.
“Welcome home, Your Excellency. We are enjoying your government, and we are fully with you. Our members spread across all local governments in Osun State. We remain firmly in support of Imole,” he said, as the crowd erupted once more in chants of “Imole! Imole!”
From Ajegunle, the Governor proceeded to Igbonna, where market women stopped his convoy and insisted he must disembark to address them.
Surrounded by traders, Governor Adeleke expressed heartfelt appreciation for the spontaneous reception and promised to continue serving the people with dedication.
“I am for the people. I remain committed to the people. The people are my strength. I will not stop serving because the welfare of the people is my main focus,” he affirmed.
From Ajegunle to Igbonna, the Governor was accompanied by enthusiastic residents, market traders, and technicians who cheered him on all the way.
