A major fire broke out on Saturday evening (January 24, 2026) at the Amuwo-Odofin Industrial Estate, located in the Mile 2 area of Lagos State.
According to reports the fire occurred as a result of a significant blaze engulfing parts of the industrial zone.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the outbreak and says firefighters and emergency personnel are on the scene battling to contain the fire.
Extent of damage and official cause are not yet confirmed. Journalists and officials indicate that investigations are ongoing and more details (especially on what sparked the blaze) are awaited.
