Obokun /Oriade leaders of the All Progressives Congress Federal Constituency have unanimously endorsed veteran lawmaker Oluwole Oke as the party’s candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election, paving the way for what would become his seventh term in the Green Chamber.
The adoption, described by party stakeholders as a move aimed at strengthening unity and consolidating experience ahead of the polls, followed consultations among APC leaders across the constituency.
Meanwhile, Hon. Wole Oke expressed deep appreciation to party leaders for what he called their commitment to unity, discipline, and collective progress within the party. He noted that the consensus arrangement reflected political maturity and the determination of party members to work together for the continued development of Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.
Reacting to the development, the Accord Party aspirant, Renowned legal practitioner, Hon. Pelumi Olajengbesi, has reacted on his Facebook page saying he had been flooded with congratulatory messages from friends and supporters within the APC fold, a situation he described as both surprising and symbolic.
Adding in a message directed to the people of Oriade and Obokun, the lawyer expressed optimism that a new political era was about to begin in the constituency.
“ORIADE/OBOKUN, our set time and season have finally come, the day the Lord has made,” he declared
However, federal lawmaker, Oluwole Oke also commended fellow aspirants who voluntarily stepped down in support of his candidature. Those acknowledged include Prince Abiodun Aribisala, Alhaji Ahmed Alubankudi, Engr. Agoro, Prof. Akinmoladun, and Engr. Femi Akosile.
