The Commissioner of Police in Akwa Ibom State, Waheed Ayilara, has passed away in the early hours of today.
CP yilara, who had been battling health issues, died in the early hours of Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) in Ikeja.
According to sources close to the family, Ayilara had undergone surgery for prostate cancer on Wednesday.
Sadly, he passed away just hours after the procedure.
A family member, speaking on condition of anonymity, expressed deep sorrow over the loss.
