Hon. Dr Gentle Emelah, the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Education, recently conducted a routine inspection at Community Primary School 1 & 2 Angalabiri in Sagbama LGA.
During his visit, he discovered that the pupils were engaged in washing freshly harvested cassava on the school premises instead of receiving their regular lessons.
The pupils informed him that they had not learned anything that day and were instructed by their teachers to harvest cassava for them.
