“When man hands over, God takes over; and when God takes over, the enemy takes cover; and when the enemy takes cover, man crosses over; and when man crosses over, the battle is over” — Psalm 8:2.
Pastor Oluseyi Adekunle, State Pastor of Living Faith Church (Winners), Oke-Onitea, Òṣogbo, made this statement on Sunday, 16th November 2025, during the service tagged 3rdPre- shiloh Encounter service, which also doubled as the monthly anointing service. He ministered on the teaching series “Understanding how praise facilitates fulfillment of prophecies”– Part 3a”, in line with the prophetic focus for the month of October themed “Praise Facilitate fulfillment of prophecies” – Romans 4:17-21
Pastor Adekunle explained that prophecies are not predictions but God’s definition of the future. He stressed that God does not predict — He defines, referencing Jeremiah 29:11. He added that our future is God’s past because God is already in the future we expect, waiting to lead us into its fulfilment.
He further emphasised that prophecies from God are always fulfilled because He is the Creator — certain, definite, and unquestionable. He noted that prophecies are not metaphysical guesses or diabolical projections but clear definitions of God-ordained futures.
Speaking on the role of praise, he said believers use praise to facilitate the fulfilment of prophecies by encountering fresh oil (Psalm 92:1–10). He explained that God has a 24-hour commitment to His covenant (Lamentations 3:22), and daily renews His compassion (Leviticus 6:12). According to him, praise is the channel that grants believers access to these daily encounters.
During the third service, Pastor Michael Obidiya added that prophecies come from God’s Word and are watered through praise. He stressed that the future God has defined cannot be altered by anything. However, he noted that adversaries often rise against prophecies (1 Corinthians 16:9), and it is revelation from God’s Word (Isaiah 12:3) that empowers believers to walk in freedom.
Discussing the Anointing, Pastor Adekunle described it as a divine mystery that seals the fulfilment of prophecies. He explained that the Anointing Oil carries joy — the joy referred to in Isaiah 61:3, the joy that helps believers “count it all joy” (James 1:2). He added that joy is a form of spiritual medicine (Proverbs 17:22).
He concluded by saying that praise is the key when one does not know what to do (2 Chronicles 20:22). Praise, he said, focuses on what God has spoken — what is written — rather than what is happening around us.
