A group of Nigerians has been captured on video protesting at Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. In the short clip, the demonstrators were heard chanting:“Leave us alone oh, America! Leave us alone oh!”

The protest comes shortly after former U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly threatened to take action, including possible military intervention, against Nigeria if the government fails to stop what he described as the “killing of Christians” by Islamist militants.

While many Nigerians have expressed support for Trump’s stance, believing it could help end terrorism and genocide in the country, others have reacted differently to his ultimatum. Some observers allege that the protesters were sponsored by the APC-led Tinubu administration, suggesting the demonstration was politically motivated.
