Reaffirming the NLC’s commitment to the protection of workers’ rights, Dr. Arapasopo noted that the union remains “a bastion of democratic principles and the voice of the masses,” and will continue to stand firm in defending the welfare of workers across the state.
Also, Labour Movement has issued a stern warning to the management of United Bank for Africa (UBA) to respect the law and avoid a path that leads to unrest. “Should the bank fail to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, the Labour Movement will not hesitate to organise picketing and other lawful industrial actions to defend workers’ rights.
He concluded by appreciating teachers for their invaluable contributions to nation-building, extending his felicitations to them on the occasion of the 2025 World Teachers’ Day celebration.
“To all the teachers around the world, thank you for your dedication. Happy Celebration and Happy World Teachers’ Day,” he said.
