Speaker of the Parliament, Rt Hon Adewale Egbedun has commended the lawmakers for their diligence and perseverance demonstrated consistently through various outreach empowerment programmes in their constituencies.
He stated this at this first plenary in the year 2026 held at the hallowed chamber of the assembly.
Rt Hon. Egbedun stated that the empowerments has delivered meaningful support to the constituents and had strengthen public confidence in the assembly work, adding that the accomplishments are a testament to unity of purpose and collective effort.
He also commended the steadfastness and commitment of the stakeholders of the assembly, saying their professionalism remains the backbone of their operations.
“Let me reiterate that our foremost obligation is to the people who entrusted us with this mandate. Every debate we hold, every resolution we adopt and every law we enact must be guided by the welfare and progress of our state”.
On the Order of day, Osun State Mass Education Agency Bill 2024 scaled first reading.
It is a private member Bill sponsored by Chairman House Committee on Education, Hon Sikiru Bajepade.
The Bill when passed into law will provide access to basic education, reduce illiteracy, promote life-long learning among others.
