Direction to the realisation of vision is what we lack, not lack of vision, making us take bold steps as we are led and we become doers.” Genesis 13:14-17

It is not enough to see it, you need to walk to see it, as a person can never outgrow direction.

Pastor Seyi Adekunle, State Pastor of Living Faith Church (Winners), Oke-Onitea, Òṣogbo, made this statement on Sunday, 28th September 2025, during the first service tagged Covenant Day of Favour Service, which also doubled as the monthly end-of-the-month thanksgiving service, while ministering on the teaching series “Understanding the Benefits of Divine Direction Part 4a”, in line with the prophetic focus for the month themed The Lord is My Shepherd – Psalm 23:1-6.

Pastor Adekunle emphasised that every believer’s destiny in God is not a destination but an adventure, and as such, if there is no end to vision, there is no end to direction, as Jesus is the Way (Isaiah 51:1-2).

Explaining why believers need divine direction, he noted that most of the time, we do not fear what has happened in the past, but what we fear is the future, as we do not know what to expect. But as believers, we already have an assurance through God’s word in Psalm 23.

Listing the benefits of divine direction, Pastor Adekunle said that divine direction destroys fear, as promised in Psalm 23:5. He added that another benefit of divine direction is supernatural victory, as the children of Israel experienced in Joshua 6:16 & 20. God does not lose a battle; He goes before you, giving you a precise direction. He is a God that means what He says, and whatever He tells you to do, He is committed to providing supernaturally. God paid back the children of Israel after 430 years and gave them supernatural victory. “So how old are you that He won’t give you victory?”

Speaking on the Sunday theme tagged Covenant Day of Favour, Pastor Adekunle then explained what needs to be done to enjoy favour.

He said that the first thing to do is to become born again, just as the coming out of Egypt for the children of Israel was tantamount to new birth, and they did not come back empty, as referenced in Exodus 3:21.

Giving another example of our new birth through Isaac in the scripture, he referenced the book of Galatians 4:28, stating that we enjoy the Isaac order of favour, as referenced in Genesis 25:5 and Genesis 24:1, which itemised the riches Abraham passed to Isaac his son. He added that when you are a child of God, there is nothing called a testimony that you should not share from, nothing called a blessing that you should not have or touch.

He also said that seeking the interest of God and following the interests of God is another must-do for every believer to enter into the Covenant of favour, as referenced in Matthew 6:33 and Luke 5:2-7.

However, he concluded that favour is what fills emptiness and turns mockers into helpers.
