The West African Examinations Council 2025 examinations, which began on April 24, 2025, have taken the same route as JAMB 2025.  The English Language theory paper, scheduled for 2 PM, was written at 8 PM in some centres and even at 9 PM in others across the nation.

Reacting to the development, parents, candidates, and social media users released pictures and videos of centres in different areas of the country.

Responding to the development, WAEC revealed that invigilators and officials leaked the already set questions, hence the need to reprint new ones.

Yesterday, in 80% of the centres across Nigeria, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Aba, candidates still wrote the exams and ended their papers around 10:45 PM, leaving many to get home at midnight.

This sparked questions and observations, with many advising that the examination body, WAEC, could have postponed the exam and fixed a new date.

Meanwhile, some citizens are threatening that no candidate must fail the subject.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) 2025 May/June Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) commenced on Thursday, April 24, 2025, and is scheduled to conclude on Friday, June 20, 2025  .
