A fuel tanker carrying PMS has fallen on the Ilesha–Ipetu-Ijesa Expressway, blocking movement for vehicles travelling to Ilesha and those coming into Ipetu-Ijesa.
In the meantime, operatives of the FRSC have barricaded the road about two kilometres from the scene to prevent any possible explosion and to stop people from scooping fuel from the tanker.
Meanwhile, vehicles, commuters, and transporters heading to Ilesha are now being diverted through the narrow road in Omo-Ijesha, in Oriade Local Government Area, and rejoining the expressway a few kilometres from the Erinmo Market junction. The same route is being used by those travelling towards Ipetu-Ijesa and other nearby areas.
