Yoruba actor Abdul Salam Taofeek, popularly known as Tioruju Mondusi, has opened up about how he discovered that two of the five children he raised were not biologically his.

Speaking during an interview with African A List, the actor narrated how the situation unfolded after he returned from a movie location and discovered that his wife, who was heavily pregnant with their fifth child at the time, had been away from home for three days.

According to Mondusi, one of the children informed him about her absence, prompting him to visit her mother’s house to report the matter.

The actor disclosed that while at the residence, he saw a framed photograph of his wife and another man displayed on the wall.

He explained that when he confronted her over the discovery, she admitted that he was not the biological father of the unborn child, a revelation that reportedly led to a serious altercation between them.

Mondusi further stated that he later discovered another man had signed the consent form for her cesarean section delivery.

According to him, the man was someone he had previously seen at his wife’s shop, though he never suspected they were in a relationship.

The actor added that after the child was born, his late wife contacted him and asked him to come for the baby, but he declined after learning he was not the father.

He disclosed that she later arrived at his house with the child and the alleged lover, a development that angered him and led to police involvement.

Mondusi said the matter was reported to the police, where his wife allegedly identified him as the father of her children while referring to the other man as her husband.

He also revealed that the man pleaded with him to withdraw the case to prevent his own wife from learning about the affair, noting that the man was married with four children.

The actor stated that despite leaving the police station after the intervention, he still refused to accept responsibility for the child.

He further disclosed that less than one month after the police incident, his wife filed for divorce.

According to Mondusi, his wife later confessed during court proceedings that only three out of the five children were biologically his.

The actor explained that she admitted that the first, second, and fourth children belonged to him, while the third and fifth children were fathered by the other man.

He lamented that despite raising the children, handling their naming ceremonies, and taking care of them, he later discovered the painful truth.

Mondusi added that his wife died last year and noted that the experience still leaves him deeply hurt whenever he remembers it.
