Concern has continued to grow over the whereabouts of a 100-level Accounting student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU Ile-ife identified as Okunola Favour Abigael, who was reported missing after leaving Mayfair on Saturday.
According to information made available by one of her friends, simply identified as Samuel, the student reportedly left Mayfair around 4 p.m. on May 23, 2026, on her way to Osogbo but has not been seen since then.
Samuel disclosed that Abigael’s last communication with one of their coursemates indicated that she was on campus before all attempts to reach her failed.
He explained that efforts were made on Saturday night to trace her by checking locations she frequently visited on OAU campus, but she was nowhere to be found.
According to him, several of her friends in the department were also contacted, but none could provide information about her whereabouts.
It was further gathered that the missing student was neither at her family house nor at her residence in Mayfair, raising fears among colleagues and relatives.
Samuel added that Abigael’s parents have become increasingly worried as repeated attempts to contact her have remained unsuccessful.
He appealed to members of the public with useful information about the student’s whereabouts to urgently contact him through 07063675077.
Samuel said, “Last night, I tried checking locations she normally visit to confirm if she was truly on Campus, but i couldn’t find her in these locations. I have also reached out to all her friends in the department, but they also don’t know where she is. She is not at home and she is not also in her place of residence here at Mayfair.
Her parents have really been worried as all attempts to get in touch with her kept failing.
“If you currently know of her whereabouts or you see her anywhere. Kindly get in touch with me.”
